If you’re an avid Scrabbler, your games might get a little bit more irritating now. New slang terms have been added to the official list of words that can be used in the popular board game.
Words such as “innit,” “thang,” and “grrl” have been added to the list, as well as tech-related phrases like “webzine” and “Facebook.” The Collins Official Scrabble Words book is compiled in Glasgow, and while the new additions may be welcomed by some, traditionalists may stop dead in their tracks at the 3,000 new words added.
The publishers say it is “the most comprehensive Scrabble wordlist ever produced.” There are terms that refer to Indian cooking and slang terms like “blingy.”
